The Energy Communications Camp provides a hands-on learning opportunity for high school students to explore a career that combines the science of energy with the art of storytelling.

Energy is at the heart of our work force, our economy and our environment. But did you know that you can build a career in energy communications? Do you consider yourself a writer or a good storyteller but aren’t sure how that will lead to career? Do you have a passion for the environment, but don’t see yourself as a scientist or engineer?

Students will explore questions, such as: What is energy? What is environmentalism? Are these two concepts at odds? What is sustainable energy? Is it the same thing as renewable energy? These are important questions that we all need to know. This select group of campers will have opportunities to not only investigate and find answers to these and other questions, but also learn how to communicate that information to specific audiences through media.
